This promises to be an evening of the very highest standard of guitar playing and the most delicious music, featuring a compilation of Spanish and French original and arranged music transformed for guitar family from elsewhere in the classical oeuvre. Works featured on the album and played for us this evening will be Debussy’s Clair de Lune, Ravel’s Pavane for a Dead Princess as well as works by Albeniz and Granados.
Note I say guitar family – the guys don’t just play four standard guitars. Nope, they really explore the different sounds and textures that four different kinds of classical guitar can make together, performing on classical bass, baritone, standard, treble and octave guitars. It’s really quite a special sound and one that you shouldn’t miss this evening!
